For Russian names in Cyrillic characters, the transliteration follows the standards used by the Library of Congress system, except for names that have an already consecrated orthography in English such as Leo Klejn (instead of Lev Kleĭn) or Victor Shnirelman (instead of Viktor Shnirel’man). The Romanian names in Latin characters are reproduced here in original, with the diacritics ( Ă/ă, Î/î, Ș/ș, Ț/ț, Â/â).
